I just got finished reading this book called "If I stay" by Gayle Forman. From the contents on the back it looks like they are going to make a movie out of it. They compare it to Twilight. I don't know what to think about that comparison. This book seems to have so much more depth and a something more real when it comes to the characters. You get to know them on a personal basis and then you fall in love with them!
One thing about that book that astounds me is how the author came up with the characters. Not only did she have a close experience to exactly what her characters experienced but she tells of a time, years after the tragedy when the main character just came to her. She said that she experienced the emotions while she was writing the book. I think its amazing how emotion can be transferred from a page to a person, and how the one writing can be crying on the same parts she is writing as the reader is reading. Something magical happens when a story can be communicated like that.
